– He’s taken and we look forward to completing the judicial process. This shows that international police cooperation and APB through Interpol has worked, said detective chief Yngve Myrvoll to Nordlys.

Malik Yusuf has been wanted in the world for 13 years, accused of killing a fellow student at Nordreisa high school 2001. Nord-Troms District Court acquitted Yusuf murder. Prosecutors appealed, but the young man fled from Norway before the appeal came up for court, according to Nordlys.

Since March 6, 2003, he has been wanted in the world for the murder. On 26 February this year he was arrested by the police in Bolton in the UK. Yusuf allegedly had a new identity, but after some investigation, the police managed to track down who he really is.
