Seven picked up by the Red Cross on Maundy Thursday – Call Blad

Red Cross in Oslo as usual a heightened readiness at Easter.

This year consists preparedness of 24-hour shifts, and about 120 volunteers who man cabins and house to assist. In addition to this, about 250 people home guard, ready to scramble if needed.

Maundy were reported medium excursion, and the red Cross collected a total of seven injured off-road. Six of these were transported to emergency and hospital. In addition, it was reported two minor injuries in the resorts.

Security Director Annie S. Pedersen Buskerud Red Cross Information Center reminds that people should read the new mountain code and have that in mind when they set out on tour.

– Be sure to choose tour according to ability and conditions, she said.
