Quiet in the mountains – but serious ski accident in Drangegal – Dagbladet.no

After a busy Wednesday there was a quieter day with fewer skiers on the mountain Maundy Thursday, said Red Cross. But in Drangedal Telemark was a teenager seriously injured in a ski accident.

The boy, who was born in 1998, is brought to the hospital in Arendal with serious injuries. Ski accident happened in Drangedal Thursday afternoon, said emergency room.

In general it was still a quiet day for emergency crews. In 18 o’clock Thursday Red Cross had carried out 21 grab mission on behalf of the emergency service and two searches on behalf of the police, says Egil Torpe, who is duty manager at the Red Cross’ information center at Gol.

– Overall this Easter Red Cross has had 114 fetch quests and 16 searches, says Torpe.

Damage number is still slightly higher than last year. It is so far reported 452 injuries this Easter, 111 of them on Thursday.

The Red Cross believes bad weather has made his for Thursday has been quieter.

– we expect that more will head out on skis Friday. Today, enough many new life around the lodge and the toboggan run, says Torpe.

He notes that Good Friday has traditionally been a day for family trips, and ask parents pay attention to the children.
