Malik Yusuf hid behind a false identity – Future of the North

26 February this year, Malik Yusuf taken by police in Bolton in the UK. Somali coach has been wanted in the world for 13 years, accused of the murder of Ali Ahmed Addi, one fellow student by him in adult education in Nordreisa Municipality.

The murder happened at North Troms high school November 14, 2001.

It was Nordlys who first publicized case.

Yusuf was then acquitted of murder in Nord-Troms District Court, but the case was appealed. Before the stool and resurface the courts had Yusuf escaped the country.

Police Superintendent and Chief of the investigation section of the Troms Police District, Yngve Myrvoll – confirms that police in Troms now working on getting the man to Norway and Troms .

– In this case, he has operated under a false identity. Otherwise, it’s hard to say what he did or where he has been during these years, says Myrvoll.

When Somali come to Northern Norway again there is a legal process to be completed in the form that it is an appeal case. Case is scheduled in the High Court.

When Yusuf can be extradited from Britain and when the right process can again start up can not Myrvoll answer. According Nordlys knows Attorney Torstein Lindquister nor the details of how British police have obtained the defendant.
