Courting the Hareide – VG

Much suggests that KrF themselves where they want to be: in the political center – and the center of events in Norwegian politics. Party leader Knut Arild Hareide working painstakingly to position the party.

in almost every case we hear Hareide insisting that he represents cENTER . This is a legacy he carries on from the party’s man in horn and former Prime Minister, Kjell Magne Bondevik.

The positioning is enough as strategic as it is tactical and driven by individual cases. In the political center remains namely KrF and Hareide in the event’s center of Norwegian politics, with suitors both the left and right in politics. Both Conservative and Labour wants a partnership after the elections in 2017. The fact that the Democratic Party will not go to bed with any of them before election night, making sure the party stays interesting suitors eyes.

Left and the Centre Party defines itself as centrist parties. But unlike Hareide, watching these parties a little different on it to choose sides. Left knows stronger associations to the bourgeois side, and makes it clear that they prefer a partnership with Right. Centre Party’s rise to power goes equally evident throughout Støre and Labor.

Relationships determines

Both Erna Jonas knows that relationships are crucial when to find agreement on government and cooperation agreements . Many reacted when Støre last summer participated together with party leader Hareide at an event in Sharon valley.

For the outside world it is difficult to believe that this is not about nothing more than to share thoughts about his own religious beliefs . There is much to suggest that Jonas and Knut Arild find each other in several areas. They have a good relationship that will help to bring the parties together after the elections in 2017. In addition, the Labor one welfare and assistance policy that seems more appealing than government parties prevailing policy among Christian Democrat voters and trustee apparatus.

But what creates friction between the parties, the gap between Christian Democrats and Labour in value issues like abortion and biotechnology – and not least the Labour Party’s reluctance and behavior when these so-called valuables appear in public.

weird experience

Political Quarter Thursday 17 March, a strange experience in that regard. Christian Democrat deputy, Dagrun Eriksen was clearly uncomfortable when she was set to defend and to debate the proposal from the Christian Democratic Party’s program committee to introduce so-called “mandatory reflection time” in connection with an abortion. In the studio, she met party secretary of the Socialist Party, Kari Elisabeth Kaski, who maintained a relentless indictment of both Christian Democrats, the proposal and Dagrun Eriksen.

Kaski represents not labor but the power of argument and condemnation of the proposal highly recognizable from similar debates at party meetings in labor, for those of us who have been involved in it.

We also find in this reasoning among representatives from the Labour party in traditional and social media. Here we find words and phrases from a KrF perspective can be perceived as both misguided, arrogant and ridicule, in a case of KrF’s core voters perceived as a very important value questions.

“Woman Hosting”

When Erna Solberg was confronted with KrF proposal from the class struggle on Wednesday said Prime Minister that she would discuss the proposal before she took a position on it. The answer led to a storm of criticism from several quarters, especially from senior Labour politicians, who argued that the answer joins the ranks of a woman hostile policy of the Conservative Party and the Government, with reference to the so-called right to opt out of physicians associated with abortion.

One day, after which the prime minister concluded that neither Right thought this proposal was worth supporting. In conclusion let however Erna Solberg in a sentence where she took KrF in defense. There one can imagine the is a small premium to pay to ensure that the relationship with KrF kept warm.

I think KrF choose to stick to its center position until elections in 2017. this is a position they are served by, and making sure they will be in the thick of light until election night. I also believe they will stick together with Left, although there are indications that the Liberals also starting to get enough of the perceived KrF unwillingness to take responsibility for things they can not hundred percent can vouch for. We have seen that traditional district matters municipalities form and hospital structure has challenged the solidarity between the two parties of the center.

Challenge for Ap

What is less certain is whether and to what extent the two suitors capabilities to remain inside with Hareide until the last ballot is counted in September next year. All experience shows that it is wise to act with respect towards those who may one day be your guarantor of government.

Labor can be a challenge when the party organization instinctively react loudly and agitating the Christian Democrat valuables related to abortion, biotechnology, cash and other issues as KrF stands alone in Norwegian politics. So far, experience shows that the Conservatives have a far better impulse control than is the case for the Labour Party members and representatives.

Perhaps it is wise to do that Erna Solberg, to wait a day before deciding and fronts stand. As is often the reaction milder and answer more thoughtful.
