The Supreme Court upholds the fine of 45,000 kroner Jarle Andhøy were imposed in the District Court.
Navigator was convicted of having sailed in Antarctica without meet requirements for adequate insurance, for broken the obligation to provide accurate information about the expedition, and to have initiated the expedition despite Norwegian Polar Institute’s decision on postponement .
The journey Jarle Andhøy now been convicted, took place in January 2011.
Andhøy drew his back to the South Pole to look after their three missing shipmates, who disappeared in a storm in 2011.
Exploration expedition was reviewed by Polar Institute, because they thought the boat “Berserk” neither had a valid license or insurance to sail in the area.
