Children Minister Solveig Horne wants an amendment so that parents who are convicted of serious offenses against their children automatically lose visitation and care.

Want better protection
– We want to ensure better protection for children whose parents or stepparents are convicted of violence or abuse against their own children, says Horne VG .

Today there are automatic in the courts around this if one parent kills the other, but thus not in criminal cases involving violence or abuse.

– If you have been convicted for economic crimes and you will be deprived of the opportunity to work in the bank. If you are convicted of violence against their own children, it is so serious that I think it should be seen whether you will lose contact with their own children, says Horne said.
