The dead woman was found in Brygfjelldal in Nordland county Hemnes. There was a bus driver who passed the place just before 8:30 o’clock Tuesday morning who observed the woman lying in the courtyard in front of the residence of her. He alerted the police.
Found bloodtracking
When the emergency services arrived at the site, the woman was pronounced dead. Police found the trail of blood, a boot and a pair of glasses lying in the snow in the driveway. It is partly these tracks that allow police investigating the case as a suspicious death.
Tuesday morning were two correctional professionals in place Brygfjelldalen. The investigation so far has not led to the police is closer to a conclusion.
Still unresolved
– We faces a death with an unclear cause. The reason for it is observations or circumstances at the site. However, not investigations undertaken given us some clear answers on whether we are talking about a death was due to natural causes or whether there can be something punishable behind, says police lawyer Joachim Nymann at Helgeland Police.
He will not go into detail on the specific findings police have done on and around the deceased.
Hope autopsy provides answers
– The deceased woman shall be examined Wednesday. A preliminary autopsy report will hopefully provide answers to what is the cause of death. Then we’ll consider what we will eventually do after that, says Joachim Nymann.
If the autopsy report shows that there has been no crime, it may be appropriate to ask NCIS assistance.
The deceased woman was not reported missing. Her family and relatives were notified about the death at an early stage.
Should examine witnesses
Police are still on site to secure the area and shall interrogate between four and six witnesses during day.
