Mullah Krekar agree to prolonged custody – Aftenposten

Meling confirms NTB Friday morning that Krekar agree detention and that police petition thus being treated as business office of the Oslo District Court. Mullah Krekar is accused of having spawned new threats, and public inciting offenses in an interview with NRK.

In another TV interview he stated, moreover, that he would send a gift to whoever kills a named Kurd, a man Krekar has previously been convicted for threatening the life.

– He does not agree that he has committed any new offense, but would rather take it in a main negotiation than getting a summary treatment in a prison meeting, says Meling.

Krekar remand in Kongsvinger prison. Police Inspector Vegard Rødås has previously said that the police will keep him imprisoned until the main hearing in the case comes up for Oslo District Court before the summer.

– The prosecutor has stated that the matter so to speak has been fully investigated, so Krekar has belief that the case comes up quickly to justice, says Meling.
