People who have dangerous predators in their communities, should be allowed to carry pepper spray, believes the Center.
The party is worried after several cases of wolves near farms and houses where the wolf has shown little fear of humans.
– In Eastern Valleys wolf is at times very close. It is in the courtyard to the people, in the garden, and behave threatening. People are starting to feel scared, says Ole André Storsnes, who was behind the proposal, said.

Today it is illegal for individuals to possess pepper spray guns in Norway without permission. The Centre proposes that it should be allowed in areas with lots of predators so that people can defend themselves if they are attacked.
– It is not so that we envisage that people should carry pepper spray at any time. This is for people who are out on tour in areas where there is lots wolf should feel safe, says Storsnes.
He points out that the scheme works successfully in Canada and the United States.
