Blattmann lends itself as a leader in the 22 July support group – Aftenposten

– I give myself as a leader because the support group should be a politically neutral organization, and then it is not optimal that I also poses as deputy mayor candidate for the Labour Party. I have not had such a significant political profile earlier, but I will now get gradually, and then it’s neat to say thanks for me, says Blattmann to Fædrelandsvennen.

– Meaningful work

He has been involved in building up the organization from the start, something he describes as both therapeutic and tough.

– It has been insanely much work yet very meaningful. As left it’s tough to establish an organization to safeguard others in the same position as yourself, but it has also been a form of therapy. Now we have built up the organization well and goes into an operational phase, so it’s a good time to resign as leader, he said.

New head is Lisbeth Kristine Røyneland. Meanwhile acquires Day André Anderssen deputy, printer support group in a statement.

– Those who take over are well acquainted with the organization and very good people. I’ve gotten incredible amount of support from them, and together we have built up a good organization with 16 county branches, he said.

Capacity Challenge

Although he resigns as leader he will still be a member, but without any duties. Now he prepares himself for a distinctive role in Kristiansands policy.

– This situation is now getting enough Labor many representatives in the City Council, and many political posts. Then it would have been a capacity challenge if I should have continued as head of the support group, and I think that you should have time to do things properly, says the outgoing leader.

Blattmann lost his 17 year old son Torjus in the terrorist attack on Utøya. Røyneland, now takes over, lost his daughter Synne in the attack. Anderssen is on his side one of the survivors from Utøya.

Deputy John Hestnes also goes out of the board. He has been representative of those affected by the bomb explosion in the government quarter.
