Anker Tranby case – NRK

Prosecutor Trude Elisabeth Sparre confirms to NRK that prosecutors anchor Tranby case.

– We anchor because we believe that the district court did not have made the right assessment of the evidence of the case proves the mail I, which is overlaid murder, says Sparre.

Now they sit down to write new evidence task to be presented to the appellate court.

– The evidence will be presented to the jury and then it is up to them to decide the question of guilt. Currently we have only written an appeal declaration proclaimed convicted. The case is not sent Appeal even explains Sparre.

Expect the same result

The 53 years old woman got early today notified that the verdict of the court is appealed.

– She takes it with composure. It was not totally unexpected and she has been prepared that this could happen. Having said so, she thought it is sad, especially when it comes to the family that now gets a new round in the legal system and therefor the press, said the woman defends Anders Westeng before adding:

– She expects the same result in Appeal as in District Court.

acquitted in court

The 53 years old woman was in Drammen District Court acquitted of premeditated murder, but was sentenced to three years and six months prison for abuse, threats and impact of witnesses.

The five judges were divided on the matter. Two judges and lay judges went for acquittal.

Prosecutor Trude Elisabeth Sparre let in court claim for 21 years in prison.
