Imprisoned after fire at the district of Hamar – Dagbladet.no

The 38-year old man who is accused of having set fire to the house of Magistrate Ola P. Svor in Hedmarken District Court, is in custody for four weeks.

The man filed for freed when he was presented for remand in Oslo District Court Friday.

– He says he is not guilty and petition for release. Currently I can not say much because the documents are restricted by the police, said 38-year-old lawyer, Johnny Christian Schill, NTB before remand hearing.



Telling address


Magistrate Ola P. Rind and his family were moved to a secret address after the fire.

They have since lived under a strict security regime.

daughter and a girlfriend were rescued out of the house by neighbors who came to when the house burned to the ground the night of 22nd July 2013.

38-year-old is charged in the case, has been imprisoned since December last year because of other charges related to Hedmark police.



A number of threats


Charges revolves around a number of cases of threats against police and child welfare staff, and violence against family members, writes Hamar Arbeiderblad.

He is also sieved to have attacked two police officers with acid when they visited his residence in Hamar last year.

One of the officers has been proven eye injury after he was hit by the corrosive liquid.
