Airspace closed over large parts of Norway – Northern Lights

Radar Fault in Stavanger and Oslo Airport Gardermoen allows no plane can take off.

The error that occurred clock 14.05 paralyzes airspace over southern Norway.

Avinor confirms that the error is resolved and that air traffic resumes, but that it must be expected some delays on several departures.

A number of departures between the hours of 14 and 16 has a new flying time from Oslo Gardermoen Airport Monday, according to VG.

Not later than June 14, struggled Avinor with radar problems which closed airspace.

– We had a similar problem in June. Fortunately, we have backup systems that planes can land, but currently receive no planes taking off, says Ulverud.

– The airspace south of Vigra is closed. That is no aircraft at any airport will take off south from Vigra Airport. It’s going to create delay, says pressevakt Gurli Høeg Ulverud by Avinor told NRK.
