Norway’s oldest man’s death – Dagsavisen

Norway’s oldest man, Carl W. Falck’s death, 109 years old.

Falck was born on 27 May 1907 in Tønsberg. In recent years he has lived on Majorstuen residential and treatment center in Oslo, according to NTB. Saturday he slept set, said her son, Jacob Falck to Tønsberg Blad.



Not afterlife

– He was sick for a couple of weeks ago and died as he wanted: A worthy and natural death. He did not want to be kept alive artificially, even if this means that he did not reach its goal of becoming 110 years, says Jacob Falck.

So much older than 110 years did not think 106-year-old it was possible being, he said in an interview with Dagsavisen in 2013. he did not think it was any goals either.

– Although the average age has increased a lot in my life, I think we will soon be at the border. That’s fine if research can make it possible to be healthy while we live, but to be 200 years – I do not think is fortunate. It would become a seedy life at the end, said Falck Dagsavisen.

In the same interview he said he did not believe in an afterlife. He believed that human beings are here on Earth to multiply and propagating our genes. When the job is done, not our body some function, said Falck, who was 106 years old.

– It is really a bit sad, but it’s a fact, said Falck.

And added,

– Life, there is no there likaste we have parallel.

Made headlines

Falck remained vigorous until his last years. As late as 2014 he created headlines when he as 107-year-old collected over 107,000 million to bare action Movember, to raise money for research into prostate cancer.

– Dad has had a life full of experiences, and the last years were everyday seasoned of journalists and photographers. He thought it was fun to be put such a price on, writes his son on Facebook, courtesy of Tønsberg Blad.

On the 109 birthday got Falck visit by Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) and mayors in Oslo and Bærum. Solberg writes in an email to VG that she is in mourning after receiving death message. She met Falck several times and describes him as “quick and witty in his line.”

From 1948 to 1975, Falck CEO of Norges Wholesaler Association. Here he was helping to revolutionize the Norwegian retail trade through streamlining methods by logistics and warehousing, according to NTB.
