VALLDAL: – Crime Scene Investigations show that there has been a collision with the bus and a passenger car ahead. The bus and a passenger have met on the road, and the two vehicles passing each other, there is contact. It ends with the bus drives off the road and overturning, said operations manager Arild Reite og Romsdal Police VG.
There was a male passenger in the bus were killed and 14 were injured in the dramatic accident at Gudbrandsjuvet on road 63. The police was notified of the accident clock 16.23. Several of the injured were trapped in the bus wreckage.
Reite says that neither the bus driver or the driver of the passenger car suspected riding with drink.
A seriously injured
Four of the injured were transported to Molde Hospital, while the other ten were sent to Ålesund hospital. The other who was aboard the bus is taken care of by Norddal Municipality crisis team.
Of the ten who were brought to the hospital in Alesund, termed eight who slightly injured. Two are in intensive care – for one is seriously injured and the condition stable, while the other is described as a minor injury.
Molde Hospital states that none of the patients in them are seriously injured. A woman in the 20s is in intensive care with chest and laceration termed as moderate. A woman in their 60s have wounds and is also termed moderately injured. A girl in the mid-teens have fractures and are slightly injured, while a woman in their 30s have crush injuries, and also she described as a minor injury.
For Trollstigen
The bus was Ukrainian and were en route to the popular tourist destination Trollstigen along the same road further north.
Norwegian County Road 63 at Grønning Valldal was closed but opened with full mobility in both directions in time 4:05, says Lisbeth Smørholm NPRA VG. (NTB)
