In an interview with Dagbladet is Listhaug clear that tightening of immigration policy adopted in spring, does not go far enough.
– It is primarily stupid country that we did not get tightened more , said the Minister. She specifically mentions areas such as family reunification and regulations for unaccompanied minors seeking asylum.
– We have already warned Labour that laws should have been stricter in those areas.
– It should certainly not be ruled out we must tighten more. We must pay close attention to what is happening in Sweden and Denmark. If austerity measures which lead to more come here, we must also take action, says Listhaug. (© NTB)
