– one woman had a backache, so ambulance was summoned, says Laursen.

the women said they had been hit by a boat at high speed. According canoeists had no boat made no attempt either to steer away or stop, but drove on at the same speed, type NTB. The women had also made attempts to provide the boat signals, but the boat could not have seen them, says Laursen told Dagbladet.

– When we got to the place, there were no other boats in the area. Thus it was also luck that we were in the area and rescued them from the water, says Laursen.

There was fortunately good this time and canoeists escaped with fright, but port Firehouse encourage boatmen to take into account.

“We know that kayaks can be difficult to see, especially in backlit and the little waves. Urges all boats to take account of kayaks while paddlers to make efforts so that others can see them best, “it is stated further in the message, type NTB.
