Eight people involved in traffic accident on the E39 – Fædrelandsvennen

MANDAL: Emergency services were alerted to the accident at 17.12 Friday afternoon. E 39 is now open after being closed for over an hour.

Two cars and a bus were involved in the accident. Police said the case of a frontal collision.

– The bus was hit ahead of the frontal test, lighted operations manager Sveinung Alsaker Agder police district.



Unknown injury rates

– It was not a bus with passengers. A total of eight people were involved in the accident.

The time 18.49 says Alsaker that a car has come across in the oncoming lane. It hit the bus in the side, before it crashes into the car which drove behind.

– Suspected gets seized his driver’s license, says Alsaker.



A person is sent to hospital with unknown amount of damage. Five people have been sent to emergency.

Long queues

E 39 was in a period closed in both directions, but at 17.41 was a lane opened. According to witnesses Fædrelandsvennen’ve talked to, there are still long queues by accident.

– I’m heading west and has stood still for nearly 40 minutes. Several cars have flipped, and it seems as if the road is still closed, said a caller.

The time 18.47 enlightens Road traffic control center that the road is open for traffic.
