Torgersen case requested reopened – Fædrelandsvennen

The request for resumption will be forwarded to the Commission for Criminal Cases Thursday and is the result of a year of work with the relevant documents, including a review of previous treatments, said the two lawyers.

At a press conference Law firm Schjødts premises in Oslo on Thursday they will provide information about the main features of the application.

80-year-old Fredrik Fasting Torgersen was 16 June 1958 sentenced to life imprisonment and ten years’ protection for killing 16 year old Rigmor Johansen Skippergata in Oslo in December last year. He was released from prison after serving 16 years. (© NTB)
