The man got parts of the roof and wall construction of the garage he would extinguish over themselves. He was picked up by a Sea King rescue helicopter and flown to Ullevål hospital in Oslo.
– The man being treated for serious injuries, said pressevakt at Oslo University Anders Bayer said.
The fire broke out in a garage in Øberg road east of downtown Halden.
– As soon fire the lot is cold, it will be made fire-related investigations, said operations manager Terje Norang East Police NTB night to Sunday.
The police was notified about the fire at 3:49 on Saturday night. All emergency services pulled out, and a total of 14 residents of neighboring houses were evacuated. (© NTB)
