Nine rescued after running aground off Kristiansund – Aftenposten

– The boat tipped over and the nine landed in the sea. A rescue boat got help from another boat nearby to pick them up, says pressevakt in Redningsselskapet, Janna Aarvik, said.

It is not possible to examine the basic support boat Saturday night due to bad weather .

– All are in good shape, says skipper Sigmund Kaplanski aboard lifeboat “Erik Bye” to Future Demands clock 22.50 Saturday night.

lifeboat skipper says that the fishing boat “Leif Roald» had around 45 degrees heel when lifeboat arrived.

– The crew told they quickly realized that they had to leave the boat after it went on the reef. The took in water and lay on its side. All jumped into the sea, and eventually managed aboard rafts, says Kaplanski.

Operations Leif Ragnar Hoseth North Møre og Romsdal Police Department said that the crew will be taken to the hospital in Kristiansund Saturday night.

– We have not received notification that some of them are seriously injured, but they have obviously been very cold, he said.
