Christensen, Giske and Huitfeld proposed in the Labor leadership – Aftenposten

The input from Labour’s regional organization is trying to gather the election committee. Already in good time before the deadline of 10 January, it is clear that a number of counties will go on to expand the lead in the party so that it becomes two deputy leaders instead of the current one.

It is also clear that there will be a real battle for the important positions. More heavy name is already recorded as desired candidates, and even with two deputy leaders will not be room for everyone.



Rising star

Hordaland Labour has until now kept their cards close to chest about who they will support as the new deputy Labor.

But the county party has now landed on that they will work to ensure that parliament Jette Christensen (31) becomes Jonas Gahr Støre partner.

Important meeting in February

Kolberg will not comment

Chairman of the Nomination Committee Martin Kolberg would not comment on whether Labor should have one or two deputy leaders, but said Aftenposten September:

– I only have a mandate: it is to relate to the constitution we have, which says that we should have one deputy. I note that there has been a discussion about two, but every time this has been discussed previously, it has been rejected.

Kolberg said this about what qualities he looks for in the new party secretary:

– It is a bit special to be party secretary, is that you should combine political shrewdness with strategic capabilities – while you manage. People who have this combination, do not grow on trees. But they do exist.
