Police lawyer Pål-Fredrik Hjort Kraby confirms that the accused is released, but they say believes the suspicion against him is not compromised.

– the accused is released, but the indictment maintained. The release was due to it no longer existed destruction of evidence danger. Based on the degree of suspicion we considered it not to be a basis for so-called law enforcement arrest, writes Kraby in a text message.

Law enforcement Arrest used when it may offend the public’s sense of justice or create insecurity about an accused released. The requirement to keep someone in custody on this basis is that there must be a confession or other conditions in particularly strengthens the suspicion.

Aslam was shot and killed with a semiautomatic pistol, one Intratec Scorpion caliber 22, with attached silencer and high-capacity magazine, outside his home in Lindeberg. The weapon was found by a passer-person at the scene the morning after the murder.
