13 injured and nearly 50 evacuated after major fire in Fredrikstad – Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad

It was the fire department who first reported the fire started about kl. 23.40 on Wednesday.

There are three blocks of the place and according to the fire department burned the roof construction on one block, which relied on to the roof of the two other blocks lying close together. Emergency services were quickly in place and got initiated extinguishing onsite

Several injured

Police reported early Wednesday morning on a total of 13 injured after the fire.

– A total of nine residents are sent to emergency care, after they have inhaled smoke.

One inmate is sent to the emergency room with burns.

In addition, three officials from the police taken to hospital on Kalnes. Eight o’clock was the two of them still in hospital emergency rooms where they received treatment after breathing in fire smoke.

Not lit three o’clock
