The committee does not say anything about how an eventual base in Telemark should lie. The majority does not wish to determine when a base should be created.
Safe on location in Vinje
Mayor of Vinje, Jon Rikard Kleven, has long worked for a base to be placed in Vinje . He feels now confident that a base will ultimately end up in his municipality.
– Parliament and Norwegian Air Ambulance has always been clear that Telemark means upper Telemark says the mayor.
Kleven also points out that a location in Vinje has received full support from the West Telemark Council, Ryfylke Council, Hardanger Council, Tinn municipality and several mayors and deputy mayors in the county.
Also Norwegian Hospitality Association supports a base in Vinje and Rauland cabin resident’s association has previously noted Vinje stating that the population increases dramatically in vacation and holidays.
I Telemark want both Skien, Notodden and Vinje a placement with them.
Want to seal holes
Norwegian Air Ambulance has long expressed a desire several bases in Norway.
the goal is that no one will live longer from a helicopter base than 20 minutes flying time. Telemark and parts of Buskerud is not the case today.
