Hail Shower

– This is a single event and we can not say that it is only due to climate change. It is a combination of natural hot weather, in addition to that it has generally been warmer. But the warm and wet weather in 2014 settles right into the pattern of what we expect in the future, says Hygen.

Also Denmark and England have had sensational high temperatures last year, respectively over 10 and 9.9 degrees average temperature. Over the next few weeks it becomes clear whether 2014 will be the all-time warmest globally.

– There are large areas of the world that has been warmer than normal in 2014, but it is especially the northern parts of Europe that have been hot. We in Norway have been there things happened temperature wise, says Hygen.
