The technical studies for the fire that cost three people their lives in Lower Spokes January 4th, allows police concluded that it was an accident.
– Our conclusion from the studies conducted, is that this is a tragic accident and that it has not happened as a result of a criminal act, said sheriff Torill Sorte in Lower Spokes.
The studies show that the fire occurred due to “heat supplied from a heat source” but that it is not possible to say for sure what the heat source was.
Along with the conclusions of the technical investigations, were also the names of the deceased released: Gro Irene Tiedemann (50), Knut Gustavsen (65) and Torill Kristin Fredriksen Nilsen (62).
All three were from Lower Spokes.
Last week came the preliminary autopsy report, which showed that the three died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
– It has not been demonstrated external injuries on the dead, and the cause of death is most likely carbon monoxide poisoning, said the report from Forensic Medicine Institute.
