Elden: – Monika case should be moved out of Bergen – Aftenposten

– The case should be moved from Bergen’s police to ensure a neutral investigation. The case has been an internal struggle at the police station between different groups and unions. It provides no legal protection for the person who will be investigated, says Elden VG.

The same newspaper cited a letter Saturday that the whistleblower in the murder case sent superintendent in Hordaland Police in January last year. The letter described whistleblower why he believed that eight year old Monika Sviglinskaja could have been killed.

The girl’s mother found her daughter dead in their home in Sund at Sotra 14 November 2011. First Attorney Eirik Stolt-Nielsen Limited will not comment Eldens allegations, but said the case now seems to be in good hands as police Bergen has established a new investigation team, with assistance from NCIS.

Deputy Chief Gunnar Fløystad considering it not necessary to move the investigation.

It is expected that Norwegian Bureau for the Investigation of Police Affairs during January comes with its assessment of Hordaland Police investigation into the matter.
