Two cars with a total of three people were involved in the accident. Somewhat later it became clear that one of those involved died in the crash, and a man in the 70s was seriously injured. The third person, a woman in her 50s has received minor injuries.
– A Sea King rescue helicopter was called to the scene and transported the victim to St. Olav’s Hospital in Trondheim, said operations manager Jan Egil Gilberg in Hedmark police.
Highway was closed Sunday afternoon as a result of the collision. Police also worked to notify the next of kin of the person killed in the accident.
– Currently we have no special knowledge of what’s happened. Emergency services had to prioritize life-saving measures at the scene when they arrived and what is the cause of the accident we come back, says Gilberg. (© NTB)
