Former convict charged with rape again – Fædrelandsvennen

He is also charged with having subjected the man of infection, writes Aftenposten.

30-year-old, who comes from a central African country, tested positive for HIV a few years after he came to Norway. Over two years, 30-year-old unprotected sex with 13 people. He informed at no time their partners about the disease.

In 2010, he was sentenced to five years in prison to knowingly have exposed eleven men of infection. In addition he had transmitted the HIV virus to two other men by having unprotected sex with them.

The man was released two years ago. He had served two thirds of their sentence. Last week he was jailed again, accused of raping a man and subjected him to infection.

– detention is justified with a high rate of recurrence risk. We fear that there might be other men out there who may have been exposed to the same, says police lawyer Mette Haldorsen the Oslo police said. She says she will take up both custody and permanent expulsion from the country by the public prosecutor. (© NTB)
