NSB promise not to make the same mistake again bus – People Magazine

Oslo (NTB): NSB-management lies flat and admits that this summer’s program to transport train passengers by buses from Oslo S was unsuccessful.

– We thought we would make it. We were wrong, says Tom Ingulstad, head of the person trains NSB Aftenposten.

Thousands of train passengers would be transported to their stations by bus, while it was driven maintenance and repair on one of the busiest lines from the largest train station.

The NSB had not counted on was the already dense traffic through the new road network in Oslo. Ingulstad admits that NSB is not able to transport people efficiently with bus service once an important train line is closed.

– It is obvious when customers are likely to have to wait for two hours. Earlier in the summer, when the Drammen Line was closed while people had vacation, it went much better. Police also intervened to end in around Oslo S in August, which solved a lot of problem. But it involves a state of emergency for a central part of Oslo. (© NTB)
