In an interview with Dagens Næringsliv speaks Ministry’s former communications manager out on the issue for the first time. She says that she September 14 last year was told that she was unwelcome in the position, which the Minister of Transport Solvik-Olsen (FRP) has previously denied.
DN has several articles claiming that Storli may have been removed from work because she would not give politically assistance to the Minister. Tuesday responded Solvik-Olsen parliamentary control committee on the matter, and then he was crystal clear that he did not request communication manager about this.
– There are many gray areas in the relations between the political leadership and the civil service. But when the minister says in his blog that it was premature clarified that communications department should not have contact with elected officials, it is wrong, says Storli.
– Now it is natural to discuss whether we want a bureaucracy with puppets who can not ask a single question for fear of reprisals. And it is inconceivable to me that the most senior manager in a department as smooth can ignore the rules for personnel management, she continues in the interview.
Neither Ketil Solvik-Olsen or his political adviser Reynir Johannesson has commented Storlis statements to DN . Secretary Villa Kulild, which should have given Storli news that she was unwanted, says she does not recognize Storlis presentation of the case. (© NTB)
