(Dagbladet): Today it was confirmed that ten year old Wenche Aleksandra Jorgensen Hansen died after an accident in Lierne, Nord-Trøndelag.
She died after a snow cave she was playing in collapsed Friday. Jorgensen Hansen was discovered by a passerby and flown to St. Olav’s Hospital by air ambulance.
Both family and others who were present sat immediately start lifesaving measures while medical resources, but the girl’s life was not to to rescue, police said.
The hospital confirmed earlier today Dagbladet that she had died early in the morning Saturday.
– It is a tragic accident, where she has dug a snow cave that collapsed says Dag Hjulstad, operations manager at the police operations center in Nord-Trøndelag.
The girl was alone and Hjulstad say they do not know how long it took from the collapsed until it was discovered.
– She was playing in an area near a ski resort, but a little on the back of people congregate, says operational manager.
