196 pigs died on Hadeland – NRK

The farmer at Gran Oppland was to deliver her daughter at school on Wednesday morning when the neighbor called and told that it overturned black smoke coming out of the ventilation system in the pigsty.

196 of 197 pigs lay dead in the pens. Many of them were pregnant sows.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning may be causing

The farmer had now cold spell set up a diesel-powered heat gun in the barn to keep the temperature. Preliminary research suggests that animals may have died as a result of carbon monoxide from this heat cannon.
