Rejects accidental discharge legend – man charged with murder – VG

The police have expanded indictment against the man who hit his wife with a shot in Gran Hadeland in January. The charges are extended from negligence to willful murder, police said.

– The charges are changed by our questioning of the accused, research we’ve done on site and witnesses. The accused is tried interrogated against new charges, but he has not wanted to explain to us, according to a press release from Inland police.

It was in January that he killed his own wife, after the police have described as an accidental shot.

The accused admitted in court to having killed his wife with a rifle, but petitioned itself released on the same occasion. The court decided to remanding in custody the man for four weeks letterhead, visits and media ban, the first two in full isolation.

Defender: – Recognizing not culpability for expanded indictment

The defender of the accused man, Arne B. Hook Eide, says to VG that the accused is known police expansion of the indictment, but that he did not acknowledge guilt.

– I can briefly comment that my client is familiar with the indictment, but did not acknowledge guilt. He maintains his statement from earlier that it’s all a mistake, and opposes therefore incarceration, says Cork Eide told VG.

– I can not comment further, then we do not fully understand what background police now expands indictment on, he continues.

The police have devoted considerable resources

The murder is and has been a mystery as police investigators have used and significant resources to finding an answer. The case is described as a demanding murder investigation.

Taken nature of the case into consideration have Inland police received assistance – both technically and taktisk- from NCIS. This has been to verify a detainee’s explanation in and around the murder, and actual events.

The explanation he should have given right after the murder must have been nine pages, and the page should have stood for that explanation.

Now it turns out that new studies and investigations have led to a new charge against the accused. It has now been extended from negligent to willful murder, police said.
