The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a NOTICE forecast for Sunday. The forecast applies to Buskerud, Telemark, Hordaland, western and Aust-Agder, Oppland, Hedmark, Hordaland, Sogn og Fjordane, Møre og Romsdal and Sør-Trøndelag.

Sun, strong wind and snow provide locally difficult driving conditions in the mountains. Exposed areas in the mountains, the wind can come up in a southerly gale.

– It’s the wind with the snow that will give difficult driving conditions on mountain roads in many places. It said duty meteorologist Kristian Gislefoss at the Meteorological Institute.

He has a piece of advice to anyone who is in the mountains:

– Check NPRA pages about mountain passes are open and run under the circumstances. Temperatures can be more places to go to zero, and then it becomes smooth.
