– It’s hard to understand that the Norwegian Hospitality Association has not been willing to meet us at any of our requirements. We are on strike from Friday morning, which will affect supplies of all flight meals at Gardermoen and Flesland, says Parat negotiator Grethe Diserud.
192 Federation members in Gate Gourmet is taken out of the strike starting Friday at 6.
conflict
Parat chief negotiator Turid Svendsen says mediation deadline was originally set to midnight Thursday, but she finds that the Norwegian Hospitality prefer conflict rather than solutions.
– Our requirements are largely congruent with the requirements of the United Federation. This applies to the requirement for the right to real local negotiations and wage increases for the low-paid in the industry. Besides requiring Parat responsibility supplement for airport employees, says Svendsen.
The deliveries include food and drinks to dining aboard and duty free goods for sale.
– We will continuously evaluate further escalation in the future, says Svendsen.
Parat think Norwegian Hospitality lacking willingness to negotiate, while the Norwegian Hospitality Association believes they have given a good enough offer for Parat.
– the national collective agreement with the United Federation is absolutely identical to the national agreement with Fellesforbundet, and while the strike is ongoing, it is impossible to achieve a solution, says chief negotiator Elisabeth Kloster in Norwegian Hospitality Association.
