Across the country, there has for years been a practice that bank employees have referred mortgage customers to a particular real estate agent and was paid compensation from the broker for advertising job, writes Nord24.
– There is no law for bank employees to receive compensation to direct customers to a particular real estate company – even if the broker is in the same group as the bank, emphasized in a letter from the FSA news website has gained access to.
– We have had an arrangement where the bank employees, gave a tip that led to the commission for estate broker spring, received a commission of 1.000 million, said overriding president of DNB in Tromso, Jann Ivar Didriksen.
This scheme, DNB has had for the country, but it was discontinued on the spot when the letter from the FSA came emphasizes Didriksen.
Also Nordea employees have had similar scheme.
– We have had such a tip arrangement. But this was stopped immediately when FSA came with their circulars, says senior communications adviser in Nordea Norway, Grete Christine Kruse. (© NTB)
