- Baksaas lied not to the demolition investigation – NRK

Baksaas told that during the previous hearing was afraid to say anything that could harm the ongoing investigation.

– In January 2015 mentioned I do not have information from the ongoing investigation. From 2014 we put full weight on to cooperate with the police, said Baksaas.

He believes it was important not to be accused of to share confidential information that could ruin the investigation.

In an interview with Dagens Næringsliv admitted Baksaas to have known more than he gave the impression during the previous hearing.

– credibility is wearing thin

SPEAKS FALSE – I think he knew about it, but that it is too difficult to innrømmedet now in retrospect, says a member of SCSCA, Abid Raja, just after hearing of Jon Fredrik Baksaas.

Members of the Parliamentary Scrutiny and constitutional committee Abid Raja (V) is not satisfied with the answers Baksaas gave under interrogation.

– Now he wants us to believe that he has not known anything about this, despite the fact that he lied last time he was here, says Raja.

Left Polit Keren believes the reasons are not good enough.

– Baksaas said last time that he would put confidentiality aside and give us all the information. Now he says that he had a duty of confidentiality and thus informed us wrong. The credibility of his thin little if at all existent, says Raja shortly after the hearing.

– Not good enough

The former Telenor boss replied at the hearing that he had been unclear when he last round of hearings said that he came to add confidentiality aside.

– I was not precise enough that it was not about information that belonged to the investigation. I had brought some of this on, so I’d like to see the debate we then had remarked Baksaas.

Took distance

Baksaas was Tista during the hearing together with the former chairman of Telenor Svein Aaser, as previous hearing in January 2015. Aaser said in his introduction that he deeply deplores allegations that he has withheld information.

– I called liar. It’s a whole new life in Norway’s politicians. And an assertion I will strongly reject, he said.

Aaser resigned as chairman in October last year when industry minister Monica Mæland (H) received new information about the Telenor Board handling Vimpelcom case. She thought she should have received information at an earlier stage, and there was disagreement between the two.
