(Dagbladet): A politician from Aust-Agder is charged with deprivation of liberty for abducting his own daughter and locked her inside a homemade cell. Cella was according to the man built to detoxified daughter.

– It was a desperate situation. I believe that I acted in necessity and therefore refuse guilt, says the man told the newspaper.
He does not dispute the events, but he believes that the detention was necessary to protect her daughter to have struggled with addictions for several years. The politician, who for several years has served on the council of a municipality in Aust-Agder, feared for her daughter’s life and health.
In the cell, the woman suffered handcuff and link on their feet. The woman was according to the indictment kept in the cell of a summer evening last year, until the next morning.

Both the politician and two other aides are accused in the case. It is set two days to the case in Aust-Agder District Court in August.
The daughter’s counsel, Arve André Larsen, told Dagbladet that the woman experienced the incident as terrifying.
– She experienced this as frightening and very traumatic. She wants the perpetrators prosecuted and punished, says Larsen.
– If the court noted necessity, so this page is their stance to it that the crime carried exceeds the threshold for what is okay within necessity. The way the detention is carried out at disproportionately, says Larsen.
