- Ryanair flights from Norway while they make money – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Neither the chief of Torp Sandefjord Airport or flyanalytiker Espen Andersen believes Ryanair going to cut out routes to and from Norway in spite of the high level of domestic air passenger tax, which the Irish budget airline says is the direct reason why it put down operations at its Norwegian base at Rygge.

the explanation does not buy Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

– Ryanair will fly from Norway while they make money regardless of a Norwegian fee. They are extremely skilled at turning around for the economic situation, and cares little about what countries called where they fly, says CEO. Gisle Skansen at Torp Dagbladet.

Next Rygge and Haugesund, is privately run Torp only Norwegian airport where Europe’s largest airline Ryanair operates today.

Earlier today it became clear that FRP works to remove air passenger tax from the revised state budget, and that a unanimous parliamentary endorses standpoint.

Ready for Gardermoen

from 1 September this year, Ryanair signed an agreement to start the router for the first time from the country’s main airport Gardermoen.

the agreement, which was signed in January / February this year, involves four departures and arrivals per. week.

According to Aftenposten, Ryanair will fly three times a week to and from London Stanstead and once a week to and from Vilnius in Lithuania.

– I think they will increase somewhat in Torp and create routes to the airport. They have not said that they cease to fly in Norway, but they put down their base at Rygge. That they no longer want to park and maintain aircraft here and have staff living here.

– At Gardermoen, they must pay the same fee as any other, so it will be interesting to see what kind of prices they come up with, writes Espen Andersen in an email to Dagbladet.

He is associate professor at the Department of strategy at BI, and has followed developments in the airline industry for years.

– It takes centralization trend in air traffic. It is becoming increasingly important for airlines to fly from major and key airports. Companies will to airports where passengers can not only fly, but also fly further, said Andersen told Dagbladet yesterday in connection with the decision to close down airport operations at Rygge.

– There will outperform small airports Rygge and Torp, analyzed Espen Andersen.

Space for two airports in eastern

Torp CEO Gisle Skansen see no immediate signs that Sandefjord Airport will ‘disappear’ in the wake of Rygge.

– Firstly constitute Ryanair only about eight percent (London, Liverpool, Malaga, Alicante) of our revenue base to over 90 percent at Rygge. It will be the market for a large airport in eastern beside Gardermoen, says Skansen Dagbladet.

He believes Avinor air navigation fees of just over 50 million a year and half inch oljependlerfly because of the crisis in the oil industry greater threats for Torp’s future.

– As regards Ryanair, the company ekstermt skilled at throwing around where there is money to be made. If not they may drop routes wherever. Now Ryanair among the biggest on domestic routes in Italy and Greece, and who had predicted that five years ago, asking Torp director.

Ryanair reports some days

According Skansen served all the world’s airlines in 2014 only 11 million on average per. passenger pr. stretch worldwide. And where care Ryanair among the best in the industry.

Ryanair’s marketing manager for Scandinavia and the Baltics, Hans Jørgen Elnæs, according to NTB that the company will inform about their plans in Norway during the coming days.
