FRP representative: – I would like aircraft seat fee there pepper’n grows – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Østfold representatives Ulf Leirstein and Erlend Wiborg fight for a new round of aircraft seat fee and the announced closure of Rygge Airport Moss. According Wiborg will Progress stortingsruppe in connection with negotiations on the revised National seek a solution with the Right, Left and Christian Democrats that could save the airport and about 1,000 jobs in Oslo.

Full FRP confusion

However, according to communications director for FRP’s parliamentary group, Ida Krag, there was no treatment and vote on aircraft seat fee at the group meeting.

– it came input to the negotiations on the revised national budget. But there was no issue up at aircraft seat fee, says Krag told Dagbladet.

Finance and Progress Party leader Siv Jensen said this morning that it is not appropriate to be pressured by Ryanair to remove air passenger tax .

However, according Østfold representative Erlend Wiborg is complete agreement in the parliamentary group that the airport must be saved, and preferably in that the fee be removed or getting a new facility.

Must save airport

– the group came input to the negotiations on the revised national budget that one must see whether there are measures that can be taken to save Moss Airport Rygge. It may be to remove the fee or to modify it, or there may be other measures, says Erlend Wiborg Dagbladet.

– Is a solution with alternative jobs in Østfold appropriate?

– No, now it’s about to save Moss Airport Rygge. Some of them are to be treated in the revised national budget, the unemployment increased. If the consequences of the closure of the airport’s 1,000 new unemployed in Oslo and perhaps 5,000 nationwide, there will be dramatic.

– and primarily wish that the air passenger tax dropped?

– There is no doubt that the FRP has always been skeptical of this charge. So we have entered into a compromise. But then we see what the consequences are, then I think all four non-socialist parties see that we need to take another round. Then perhaps it’s smart to find other grip than the fee. For my part I wish the fee there pepper’n grow.

– Not Ryanair solution

– But if one removes the tax, is not it then to give in to pressure from Ryanair ? – I do not tailor any solution for Ryanair. I note that Ryanair, despite the fee, saying that they should fly from Torp and Haugesund, and also sniffs at Gardermoen. For me it’s airport to be rescued. Is it possible to get other companies in? It must look at. There may be tax but also be other steps that can be taken, says Wiborg.

He stressed that this must be the four cooperating parties negotiate.

Hoping for rematch

– Man is dependent on that all four parties agree. We are loyal to the decision that has been made, but now we see the consequences, and then we could take another round. This is a fee that both the Conservatives and the Progress Party has been against. KrF have signaled that they are open to look at this again. I note also that Østfold Left has gone out urging Terje Breivik (deputy and finance policy spokesman, Ed.’s Note.) And Left to change this. I note that Ingjerd Schou from the Conservatives in Oslo has said that the fight is not over.

There are FRP totally agree.

– So now it becomes a replay of Moss Airport Rygge?

– We’ll see. I hope so. There is no doubt that FRP is keen to save Moss Airport Rygge.
