To the delight of travelers who prefer to breathe the fresh air before departure.

smoking ban will be introduced on 1 September and will apply to all forms of smoking, including electronic cigarettes. This prohibition shall apply in all the country’s train stations and platforms.

Rail Administration says that it is put up signs with smoking, and that all of today’s ashtrays will be removed.

– Travelers and the public are requested to keep the stations and platforms smoking. Where loudspeaker service, regular messages commemorating the new smoking ban, says marketing manager Cecilie Pindsle in Rail Administration.

Rail Administration reports that rail companies are informed of the new rules and that they expresses satisfaction with the smoking ban. (AFP)
