Must cut out the 17 May deal – Dagsavisen

A wide range of known and revered Oslo hotels Long 17th of May traditions must namely hold entirely or semi-closed while the strike is ongoing.

– It is enough to be a part miserable and disappointed guests, unless one has hired strike breakers, says Tore Skjelstad Aunet, manager for the hotel and restaurant in the Federation.

Locked hotels

– We have changed our offer May 17 compared to what we would have had if we had full staffing. We have no chance to serve lunch, which under normal circumstances is popular and always full. This year we have only an evening buffet at one restaurant, says hotel director at Holmenkollen Park Hotel Rica, Bjorn Runar Johansen.



Reduced deals

– The impression we have is that the vast majority fail implementing planned events. But there is a reduction in supply. At some hotels you get very simple meals. It may be crackers for breakfast, says director of NHO tourism, Kristin Krohn Devold said.

Skjelstad Aune says he feels sorry for the guests who have pre-booked table and looked forward to the May 17th luncheon.
