Man in 50s found dead in a river – Bergens Tidende

The man is confirmed dead after falling into a river in Now in Ullensvang council in Oslo.

The police were alerted clock 00.10 on Thursday, and come out with fire departments and health professionals. The man was then found in the river by residents in the area.

The man had a cut in his head, and lay lifeless in the river. It was attempted CPR, but the man’s life was not to save.

– He has probably slipped and fell when he tried to cross the river. Based on the information we have so far, there is nothing to suggest that he is victim of a crime, said operations manager Frode Kolltveit Western Police District.

The police have been informed that the man was out to look for sheep .

the man will be sent to Gades Institute in Bergen for autopsy, and police will investigate further during the day.

Crisis Team in the municipality is notified, and will follow up the man’s family .
