In addition to pensions, also wages and working hours have been included in the negotiations.

Parties have brokered since Thursday and agreed in overtime Friday night.
Over 13,000 people were ready to strike if the parties have not agreed on a deal. Large disagreement about pensions was the cause of the breakdown in negotiations in June.

The controversy was whether a claim of Private Child Care Association (PBA) on the restructuring of the pension plan from a defined benefit plan, in which employees are guaranteed a pension of 66 percent (under certain conditions) to a defined contribution , where employees are promised an annual savings amount to their future pension .
The outline that the parties advise, means that there shall be established a joint committee to lay the groundwork for a solution to the pension issue.
– It is very important for our members in the private kindergartens that current pension agreements were preserved. This ensures a secure and predictable retirement, says Push Ulstad.
