(Dagbladet): One person is confirmed dead after a passenger frontkolliderte with a truck on E18 in Tvedestrand.
The accident occurred after a passenger car heading west came over in the opposite lane. Another Saloon, which also drove westward, collided in the front left vehicle, according to police.
There was then a fire.
A total of five people were involved in the accident vehicles. Four of them are virtually undamaged, according to police.
Witnesses on site tells Tvedestrandsposten that a woman with two children have managed to escape from one burning car. This has not yet been confirmed by police. In the second burning car was sitting a person stuck. The employee was at 16.40 confirmed dead by the police.
Police College announced earlier this afternoon about traffic accident. It was then reported that people in one car has escaped. There is still at least one person inside the other vehicle, police said.All emergency services were sent to the place, and the air ambulance is summoned.
It will be long queues at the site and the police state that E18 will be closed for some time. Police have started redirecting traffic via Vegarshei.
The police also report that crime technician’s and a group of accidents from NPRA is sent to the accident site.
