Doctors warn against drinking water from streams in the mountains – Dagbladet.no

Doctors are warning people walking in the mountains to drink water straight from the stream. Dead lemmings and other small rodents with tularemia can make you sick.

– People should bring bottled water if they are in the mountains in the fall. Stream water that would otherwise have top quality can be dangerous to drink, saying municipal Robert Tunestveit in Al, Buskerud NRK.

People that mountain cabin with well, you should be aware. Infected surface water can seep into the well and make it a source of infection.

Hare Pest is a serious bacterial disease, but is not fatal to healthy humans. The disease produces symptoms such as fever, vomiting, sore throat, and reduced general condition and usually goes away by itself after a week.

– If you experience these symptoms after drinking water from nature, it is still advisable to doctor says Tunestveit.
