The court will not disclose hacking indicted Russian FBI – Dagbladet.no

A Russian computer programmer who lives in Norway, is charged by the FBI for sale and development of hacker equipment. The evidence is, however, so bad that he can not extradited to the US, believes the court.

The man in his 20s moved to Østfold about a year ago when he worked for a Norwegian technology company. He has been in custody since last October after NCIS charged him and arrested him on the basis of the FBI charges. The man refuses culpability, writes Aftenposten.

US intelligence believes the man is related to the malware Citadel.

In Norway, however, the court rejected the extradition request, because they believe the evidence against the man does not give reasonable grounds for suspicion.

– This shows that Norwegian police are doing everything FBI asks them, almost automatically, says the man defends Frode Sulland said.

NCIS will not comment on the matter “of consideration to foreign investigation, “but come according to the newspaper to appeal the ruling.
